I capitalize employee because unlike most Solar companies who sell you the product and then they’re gone because they outsource to third parties, Infinity Solar handles everything in house. Infinity offered to buy my contract out and still install solar at a much cheaper price. If you decide to get solar you need to do yourself a favor go with Infinity Solar.

My solar project was an exercise in Murphys Law. I had a 50yr old main box, that if wired correctly would have handled the new system, but the old... read more box was not originally wired correctly. No way to really know this until after the fact. My house was not grounded correctly. The owner of the house (Me) was demanding and changed plans shortly after the install. Infinity took care of me. Pacific Power shut off power to the house when the problem with the box was discovered. Infinity replaced the box, system inspected, and power restored in less than 24 hours. There was an additional cost for the new main box, but their price was competitive with 3 other electricians I had contacted, and they had it done immediately. When I requested additional solar panels be installed for mostly aesthetic reasons, they were able to accommodate in a timely manner. I know I was difficult to work with, but it's my house. Post install, I am very satisfied with my energy savings, quality of job, and look of the project. They were the first solar company to present me with a plan that saves me money from day one on my electrical bills, while also adding to the value of my house. Without hesitation, I recommend them to anyone looking to go solar.

Roofing team was efficient and did good work - an independent roofer said the new roof would outlive me (I’m in my late 40s)! However they did a poor job cleaning up after themselves and were also sloppy with the process of rectifying blast through nails under my eaves. I had to chase around the lines of communication a bit up to a manager of the area office (who himself didn’t seem that engaged) but they eventually followed through and made all the necessary repairs.

At first they were amazing. The process started back in may. I had regular updates and was kept apprised of the work and what to expect. I pointed out a few areas of concern, like unsafe ladder use, the fact that I ended up having to spend half a day spotting for one of them, the disrespect they displayed for my property bucking large chunks of metal onto a lower roof rather than throwing it to the ground, dislodged sprinkler trims inside the house, changing plans and methods mid install without telling me because their initial inspection failed to identify challenges but to all of this I got excuses, justifications, and defensiveness. But the most egregious thing is that the crew smashed large areas of my attic insulation to a level below the rafters in many places. There is effectively zero insulation in large portions of my attic now. They even agreed this was an issue and they agreed to my request to have new insulation blown in to repair it. Cut to today, the system was finally turned on only last week and I still cannot monitor it because the right hand has no clue what the left hand is doing around there apparently. I had an appointment today to have that last piece taken care of - no show. So I called and found out there was no record of my appointment with more non apology excuses but they did happen to have someone in the area to take care of 1/2 the setup but I still can’t monitor my system because yet another person has to come get back on my roof to get numbers that the install crew could have and should have given me way back in June! The worst however, is the person they sent after agreeing to blow in insulation showed up today with no insulation, no machine, and told me he was instructed to “re-fluff” the compressed insulation. In what world does that even make sense? You cannot simply refluff blown cellulose insulation. I am beyond done with these clowns trying to gaslight me like this. Next stop BBB and then my attorney if it comes to it. I have to wonder if all the glowing reviews are based off the up front contact? I sure was impressed in the beginning but now I rue the day I ever let them in my front door. I am updating my review of infinity, and while I still stand by my experience during installation I sincerely hope that was just due to growing pains. I hope others have had better. That said I am adding 2 stars back because since posting this the folks at infinity have checked in a couple of times just to see if I had any concerns and make sure I am still having a good experience with the system, which I have. It may have taken a bit of time, but they did make everything right in the end and remained responsive and helpful. I might reconsider them again in the future.

The actual installation was one day. The crew was professional, answered my question and cleaned up thoroughly. I was given a time frame for inspection and meter replacement and they were spot on. I was given heads up that the power company would be emailing me and what to expect. Very professional. I would recommend Infinity Solar for anyone considering solar panels.

Once installed we had to wait for two of the hot sunny weeks before PGE could even inspect it and another sunny week before they could install the new net meter and turn the solar on (only PGE can do this). Again overpromise and under delivered on what they said the timeline would be. Because of this we missed a lot of sunny days in the summer when we should have been banking those energy credits for the gray months. I like the finished product, but curb your expectations when it comes to timing.
